Trista has such a passion for hair that she started her career at an early age as a shampoo girl. Through hard work and several business courses Trista would eventually secure a managerial position with the national chain Hair Cuttery. Now, 16 years later, a co-owner of Bella Amici Salon with two of her dearest friends, “The Salon Life” is all Trista knows. Trista has extensive training in color correction and advanced foil placement from the Redken Academy in New York City. Trista is also a Schwarzkopf Color Specialist. She currently holds certification in the cutting edge straightening technique known as Bio Ionic Hair Retexturizing. She also enjoys doing hair extensions and is a certified extension expert with Cinderella Hair and Dream Catchers. Trista’s desire for excellence leads her to continually update her skills with the latest techniques and trends by attending hair shows and classes in New York, Washington D.C. and Chicago. Melinda’s desire to make people look good was fueled by early visits to her Grandmother’s salon. Melinda has been in the professional salon industry since 1984. As one of Bella Amici's founding members, Melinda realized a lifelong vision to own and work in a relaxed environment along side of colleagues and friends. Melinda’s past experiences included working at Denise Christiansen Design in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and at Lola’s’ in Mount Washington. She has received extensive Color Correction and advanced foil placement training at the Redken Academy in New York City. Melinda is also a Schwarzkopf Color Specialist. She specializes in highlighting and color correction. Melinda’s certifications include Bio Ionics Hair Retexturizing, Cinderella Hair Extensions, and Dream Catchers Hair Extensions. Kristen Carmello has been in the industry for over 10 years. Kristen excels in all areas of hair Artistry. As Co- Owner of Bella Amici Salon Kristen shares the vision of running a salon with a fun atmosphere. Kristen started her career in Towson where she was extensively trained in the art of cutting and styling techniques for men and women. Kristen excels in clipper techniques. She specializes in Dimensional Highlighting and Color Correction, and is a Schwarzkopf Color Specialist. She is certified in such things as Bio Ionic Retexturizing, and Cinderella Hair Extensions. She is one of only three certified Dream Catchers Hair Extension Artists in the Bel Air area. Kristen loves what she does and it shows! Lisa has been a Stylist since 1996 and has been with Bella Amici for over three years. Lisa is a former salon owner and a former Salon Educator with L’Oreal Professional in Tennessee. She relocated to Harford County, Maryland in 2001. As an L’Oreal Educator she was responsible for color and cutting techniques shown to other hair care professionals onstage at hair show events. She attended numerous Matrix cutting classes. This is showcased in her precise cutting technique. Lisa excels at all aspects of hair color as well as hair shaping, hair care and up styling. As a colorist, her skills in color correction as well as dimensional highlighting are phenomenal. Her clients love her amiable personality and her welcoming southern charm. A former salon owner, Deana has over 18 years experience in the industry and has been with Bella Amici for three years. Deana is a certified Schwarzkopf Color Specialist and has trained with Redken Color Chemistry Expert; Roy Peters. Deana enjoys dimensional highlighting and her artistry in hair color stands out from the rest. Deana is very innovative in her approach to color and has a keen eye for an individual’s personal style. Deana is also certified with Cinderella Hair Extensions. She has extensive training in clipper work for men and uses the latest razor techniques for men and women. Shelly has been a licensed manicurist for over 16 years. Shelly has been with Bella Amici for 3 years and specializes in the care of the natural nail. Shelly gives great pedicures and is a stickler when it comes to sterilization. Shelly believes in promoting natural nail health and is well versed in all the health aspects of nail and foot care. Shelly has been trained in the therapeutic nature of foot care and can assist with any and all foot related health care issues including diabetes. Shelly Trained at Von lee International School for make-up artistry, brow waxing, and is a certified Ear Piercing Technician. Shelly is excellent at make-up application for any occasion.
